Organize
PhonicsQ for
Spelling
The PhonicsQ
posters are organized alphabetically because
reading is a visual act.
For spelling,
the PhonicsQ individual
cards can be arranged in an auditory organization.
Once the picture cue has been taught and the
sound being represented has been isolated, the
student can group all of those that represent
one sound.
After having
done this, the student will discover for themself
the repertoire of spellings that represent each
sound.
These
images become a powerful tool and link for the
teacher when instructing spelling and spelling
patterns. This spelling strategy is helpful
for those with spelling problems.
For the
organization of sounds and their spellings see
